Again with the Saveur back issues. I found a list of some book stores specializing in cook books. I thought I’d make a map so from here on out, we won’t be, like, in Paris or Zurich, cursing and struggling to remember the name and location of that awesome book store…

Janet Jarvits Cookbooks in Pasadena, California. A complete adventure for the cookbook fan. Old and new, thousands and thousands of titles, and many more available upon request. Janet takes orders by email and phone, too. Go look the place up–one of the last great browsing bookstores in the area.

Thank you for your comment Mack! Janet Jarvits’ shop did make the Saveur list, but is simply called ‘Cook Books’. Hmm, maybe I’ll change the map to say Cook Books by Janet Jarvis, like it does on her website. Also, it seems I failed to include Ms. Jarvits’ shop in this post. Thanks again!
I thought you might want to add Bon Appetit Cookbooks in Montreal Canada to your list.

It is a gorgeous store in the Westmount area of Montreal filled with fantastic cookbooks. The owner an his wife are friendly and the host classes and book signing events there too. It’s quite lovely. There is another small cookbook stall in Montreal at the Marche Jean Talon but I cannot recall its name. Another fun place to investigate though.
